My name is Javier Velez Vargas son of Herminio Velez Santiago and Cristina Vargas Gonzalez. I am married to Roxanne Reyez-Velez and have four step-daughters. My family is from Bario Seburuquillo in Lares, Puerto Rico. My mother migrated to the US in 1982. We lived in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY for 15 years and after I graduated from high school we moved to CT in 1993. On my mothers side I have 7 siblings my brothers are Juan Ramon Avila Jr., Edwin Avila, Ivan Avila Sr., David Avila. And my sisters are Norma Iris Avila, Luz Ivette Velez, & Carmen Eneida Velez. From my fathers side of the Family I have 9 additional siblings. My brothers are Herminio Velez Jr., Miguel Velez, Juan Gabriel Velez, Joshua Velez, & Michael Velez.
